Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has admitted it was “difficult to win” this year’s Champions League.
The Premier League champions completed the Treble this season, thanks to a 1-0 win over Inter Milan in Istanbul.
City had last week beat Manchester 1-0 in the FA Cup final.
Speaking to BT Sport after the Inter game, Guardiola said “it was written in the stars” that they would win finally get their hands on the Champions League trophy.
“It’s so difficult to win it. This competition is a coin.
“It was written in the stars. It belongs to us.
“We weren’t at our best level. After the World Cup the team made a step forward and we were there. It wasn’t our best performance,” he said.
